3D Laser Scanning

Whether measuring objects on a construction site, or monitoring a dam or a bridge; whether capturing an accident scene with digital imaging or scanning a building façade - you need reliable and precise data.  The Leica Nova solution perfectly integrates all these capabilities in one compact solution.

The Leica Nova MS50 is the world’s first MultiStation and features outstanding precision, accuracy, efficiency, quality and versatility.  The Leica Nova MS50 integrates 3D point cloud measurements into a regular survey workflow.  This lets you collect and visualize your topographic survey data together with detailed high-precision scans.

The Leica Nova MS50 provides proven total station functionality with superior integration for highest precision, performance and full automation of measurement procedures.  Together with the benefits of GNSS connectivity, the Leica Nova MS50 offers complete versatility by delivering reliable results.

The Leica Nova MS50 offers enhanced imaging functionality by implementing two cameras:  the overview and the telescope camera.  Both cameras deliver 5 megapixel resolution images for accurate image assisted surveying and high quality documentation.

The MS50 produces scan data in a variety of formats including .PTS, .E57, .LAS and .LAZ file types. These point cloud formats are industry standard and can be utilized by various CAD platforms including AutoCAD and Microstation as well as design software packages including REVIT, InRoads, and Civil 3D just to name a few. These broad ranging applications make scan data an asset to various disciplines including engineering and architecture.

Not only is the MS50 an advanced task focused scanner but it also a one of the most accurate robotic total stations in the industry today it provides an angular accuracy of 1” (according to ISO 17123-3) and is capable of distance measurements up to 2000m reflectorless and 10,000m to a single prism.
